Ed Nissen holds a Master’s degree in Social Work. He has over 5 years of mental health experiences. A hallmark component to Ed's approach is to establish therapeutic rapport with acceptance of starting at the root of the client's issue and respect for where they are in their healing process. His overall approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused, solution-focused and goal-oriented approaches. From the very first session, Ed will help you explore your issues and concerns to find solution and gain insights. Therapy is wonderful healing dialog and he is committed to your having a successful experience. His mission is to offer you genuine presence, thoughtful interaction and individualized attention.
Additionally, Ed has eleven years of experience with the addiction recovery community and offers a unique perspective that combines formal education and training in this area which provides an enriched understanding of the recovery community. Ed offers treatment for a variety of diagnosis including , childhood trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, personality disorders,and anger management. He creates a confidential, supportive and relaxed atmosphere where clients can explore and work toward their goals and recovery.
